Mark Sherman, MDCM, CCFP

Mark is a practicing Family Physician at the James Bay Community Project in Victoria. He has been a member of the Association of Complementary and Integrative Physicians of BC and was an Advisory Committee Member for both the BodyHeals and SpiritHeals conferences. He teaches yoga and mindfulness meditation and has a deep belief in the role of spirit in the health of our minds, bodies, communities and environments. Mark is the Founding President of the Victoria Community Health Cooperative, the first initiative of its kind in Victoria. Mark continues to be the driving force behind the cooperative.

Warren Bell, BA, MDCM, CCFP, FCPC

Long interested in a holistic perspective on healing, Dr. Warren Bell has embraced the transpersonal aspects of human experience from the beginning of and throughout his three decades of clinical work. From attending childbirth through to palliative care and on to ecologically based medicine, he has been oriented to this fundamental dynamic. Dr. Bell is a family physician and President of Medical Staff, and active staff member at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm, BC. He is Past-President of the Association of Complementary and Integrative Physicians of BC, and Past Founding President, Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment.

Dr. Habib Chaudhury

Professor, Department of Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. Dr. Chaudbury is an architect and a professor at SFU. His research focus is aging, health and the built environment, looking at how various physical and cognitive health are effected by community, neighbourhood, landscape and building design.
